I am 22-months old today
Greetings from New Jersey!
I am now 1 5/6 years old! It has been a very fun month for me. I started preschool this month. The first day went really well. I was very excited. I was running down the hallway repeating “school, school, school.” I had a very fun day. The second day I went it was not as much fun. I guess I thought school was just the one day, then that was it. You will be glad to know though I have gotten used to it and have settled into a nice school routine. Poor Mommy, she was very concerned for me, but I am ok now. I have done a few other things this month in addition to my normal activities of hanging out with Grandma and Gymboree (I started level 5 last month!). Our playgroup went to visit a turn-of-the-century farmhouse in Plano. There were lots of animals there and we heard a story. We also did a craft. The picture of me and my friends is from that day. I also went to see another Texas Ranger baseball game. It sure was hot for a late September day game! Grandma has a friend who loves trains as much as I do! She arranged a visit to their house and I got to see all of their trains and play with them. They even had a full-size railroad crossing sign in their front yard!! It was so cool.
The biggest excitement this month was our trip up north. My Aunt Eileen and Uncle George got married this past weekend in upstate New York. I got to see all my Kless cousins and family! I wore a very fancy tuxedo and walked down the aisle as the ring bearer! I did a very good job. The reception was fun too. I danced with everyone and stayed up way past my bedtime. Grandma and Grandpap came up too for the wedding. We also got to see and visit with many family friends from when Mommy, Grandma and Grandpap lived in the area. I got to pick apples at an apple farm, which I really liked too. I kept trying to pick up the ones on the ground, but Mommy made me pick the ones from the trees.
We are in New Jersey now as Daddy has a meeting here. We will fly home later this week. I still LOVE airplanes and am enthralled whenever I get to go on one. Last night was fun – we went into NYC, or just “the city”, and saw Mommy and Daddy’s friend Philip. He is the founder of the Sports Museum of America - http://www.thesportsmuseum.com/. We saw the building and the signs for the museum. The Museum will also be the permanent home of the Heisman trophy! It was a neat evening – I loved seeing all the tall buildings.
I am talking up a storm now. Mommy and I were driving around today and she showed me the leaves falling. I continued to repeat “leaves falling.” I can name a number of parts of an airplane, including wings and cockpit. I am working on colors, but mostly everything is “blue.” I can give high fives and my cousins in New York taught me to give “knuckles.”
Well, that’s all from me this month. Daddy is still traveling a lot – he is going back to Australia and New Zealand next month. I will be in Austin next week to visit with Uncle Mike and Aunt Melinda.
Have a very happy fall and happy Halloween!!
