Today I am 9 years old!
Oh my goodness! Today is my 9th birthday! Where do the years go?!
As you can imagine, December is my favorite part of the year! I love Christmas and celebrating my birthday.
I had my friend birthday party about a week ago with my good friend, Jackson. We had a joint birthday party since our birthdays are so close together and we have the same group of friends. This year, we played outdoor laser tag! It was a lot of fun and it turned out we had really good weather for the party.
This past weekend, we had my family birthday party with Grandma, Grandpap, Aunt Beth, Uncle Rich, Auntie Rachel, and Emily. We did make-your-own-pizza night, which is always my favorite!
Today, for my actual birthday, Dad is spending the day with me at school at Watch DOG. I love it when he spends the day at school with me. Mom is going to bring us lunch. After school we are headed to visit Santa Claus and then out to dinner followed by basketball practice. It should be a great day!
For my birthday, my parents gave me a gift a little bit early - a trip to North Carolina to visit my cousins Colin and Tyler. Uncle Rich got us tickets to the Duke basketball game! It was awesome! We had seats two rows behind the official score keeper at center court. I loved the game and being with my cousins. We went for a few days over Thanksgiving break and were back in time for Thanksgiving dinner at Grandma’s house. I always love Thanksgiving as I get to spend time with my family. This year, Grandma found snowballs and we had a snowball fight!
Baseball finally finished up the week before Thanksgiving! Our team won our post-season tournament! It was a great season and I had a lot of fun. Basketball started last weekend and I am enjoying that too. I play with a whole team of boys from Marion, which makes it a lot of fun. I am more of a defensive player and do pretty good getting rebounds. Last week, I chipped my tooth at a scrimmage game! I wear a mouth guard now - I don’t need any more tooth issues.
Cara finished up cheerleading this month with their big competition. Her team won third place and did a great job. My cousin Emily’s team won first place in their division! They were really fun to watch. Cara is part of our church’s Christmas pageant and will be an angel again this year. We can’t wait to see her a few days before Christmas.
I hope you have a great Christmas and holiday season!
Love, Sean
