I am 2.5 years old now

WOW – another quarter down! Where does the time go???

Well, I should start off with some very exciting news – I am going to be a BIG BROTHER! Yes, that's right. There is a baby in Mommy's belly. (And from the looks of things, the baby is growing a lot!). The baby is scheduled to come around the beginning of November, but will most likely come toward the end of October. I don't think too much of the baby, yet. I do say "hi" to the baby and I pick out books for Mommy to read to the baby (and me). Baby K2 likes "Goodnight Moon" and the "Meet Mr. Met" book as much as me!! We should find out soon if I will have a little brother or little sister. I keep telling Mommy the baby will be a sister, but we will see. Keep Mommy in your thoughts.

As for me … I have been enjoying my summer. I have been swimming a few times at Grandma's house and today Mommy took me to the splash park. I do love the water. I am still in tee ball with a couple of my friends. Mommy can't believe how much I have improved in the last few weeks. My favorite part is swinging the bat and running the bases. I am not much into fielding the ball. We are finally going to be ending our 2+ year run at Gymboree at the end of June. Grandma signed me up for another art class and another summer at the library. Remember last summer, I had to read 600 minutes to earn a book? I wonder if that will be the same this year.

I went on another really fun trip in May. Mommy and Daddy had their big conference for work in Washington D.C. Grandma and Grandpap came to D.C. too and took me to the National Air and Space Museum! I really loved the rockets and anything to do with space. We got there by taking the subway, which was a highlight from our NYC trip in early May. We also had the wonderful opportunity to meet the head of the CIA – General Mike Hayden. Gen Hayden went to college with my grandparents and they kept up with him over the years. It was a great honor – and Daddy really enjoyed meeting someone who had been on "Meet the Press." We had a nice dinner at a Turkish restaurant while we were in the D.C. area.

I hope you are enjoying your summer.

See you next month, love, Sean
