I am six years-old today!

WHOA! A whole 72 months have flown by. Six. Full. Years. And what a ride it has been. I celebrated my birthday with friends yesterday at a bounce party. It was a lot of fun and it was great to have both friends who I have known for “years” and new friends who I have known for just a few months. If you would like to watch a movie of the highlights of my six years, click here.

My theme was the Imagination Movers, which is one of my all-time favorite shows. I picked my theme a few years ago for upcoming birthday years and have stuck with each theme with no mind changing. Tonight I plan to celebrate with a family dinner and party. I choose my dinner – make-your-own pizzas, my favorite – and Mommy and I made a chocolate cake for dessert. I can’t wait!

Also yesterday was a special day because my Dad came to school with me. He served as a Watch D.O.G. (dad’s of great students). It was so awesome having him in school with me all day. We welcomed everyone to school with high fives and then I introduced him to everyone during the morning announcements. We treated my teacher, Miss Wright, to breakfast and Mommy brought me and Daddy lunch from Chick Fil A. I had a lot of fun, and so did Dad!

This past month we celebrated Grandma’s birthday with a party at our house. I always love having everyone over. We also celebrated Thanksgiving at Grandma and Grandpap’s house. We made these cute turkey placeholders out of Oreos, candy corn and peanut butter cups. It was neat to make something and then eat it!

We took some new family photos for our Christmas card. Mommy was so pleased with how they turned out. Our photographer, Miss Jessica, did a great job.

We had a fun Thanksgiving break – nine whole days off of school! I spent time with Grandma, who I have missed a lot since starting school. I also went to an all-day baseball camp, which I enjoyed. With Christmas coming up, we have started preparing. Cara and I are iimagen our church’s Christmas pageant this year. She is going to be a sheep and I am a shepherd. We have been going to weekly practice. We also made our annual trip to see Santa Claus! I asked for: iTunes gift card, boots and a dry erase board. Cara asked for: a rope and a robot. We are unclear of her intentions. You can see that Cara is still not so much the Santa fan. She does say she likes the Easter Bunny better.

For the third year, we decorated our own gingerbread houses with a group of friends who we have known since we were a few months old. It is such a fun tradition and we end up with some great decorations. Cara was very into it this year and managed to get more candy on her house than in her mouth.

In other exciting Cara news, Cara has finally been moved to her big-girl bed. She kept asking and asking and finally the bed was set up for her. I think Mommy was a little sad that the crib went away. Cara has been doing well and staying in her bed all night.
