I am 77-months old today!

I knew today was a special day, because it is the 9th of the month. I came down stairs this morning and asked Mom how many months old I am. I have caught on to the program here!

In just a few weeks, I will have wrapped up my kindergarten year. It is hard to believe that the year has passed. It has been a great experience for us and I have enjoyed meeting so many new friends. I have a feeling summer is going to be really fun! Speaking of summer, our kindergarten program was a summer theme. We practiced several songs and learned dances. It was a great night. Mommy, Cara, Grandma, Grandpap and Aunt Beth were all there to watch me. Here I am with my three closest friends from my class – Hagen, Ryan and Jackson. Do you like my shirt? We picked it because it was METS colors!

Also this month, we took a class field trip to the Heard Museum. We learned about animals and plants that were native to the area. Mommy came with us on the field trip.

From my class, there are six kids playing on my baseball team. And our teacher, Ms. Wright, came to one of our games a few weeks ago. It was really awesome that she was there to watch us.

TAP_9105-1802474899-OI love my baseball team and we are going to continue playing in a summer league in Plano. It overlaps our current season by a couple weeks, but we will be able to play baseball until the end of June. I really like baseball, but I do hope to try a couple new sports. A basketball team for a summer league is being formed and of course, I still want to play hockey! I was promoted to advanced hockey skating for the next set of classes. We spent one class playing a hockey game, which I loved. It was fun to start working with a stick and puck. I like my teacher, Coach Kelly.

I am pretty excited because I have my first loose tooth! It is on the bottom and is a little wiggly. Unfortunately Mommy did not take a picture of it, so we don’t have that to show you. I am sure she will take a picture of the spot it used to be when it falls out!

I finished kindergarten Faith Formation this week at our church, Our Lady of Angels. Mommy was my teacher. I have a couple of good friends in the class and I hope to see them this summer at Vacation Bible School. Each week at class, we can write prayers on a prayer board. I have prayed for everything from “For the poor” and “My dad to come home safely” to the “Penguins to come back from 3-0 to win 4-3” and “For the Mets to win.”

My sister Cara is doing well. She is now 3.5 years, or 42-months old. She keeps us moving. She has started learning how to write her name. She likes preschool well enough. She just finished gymnastics class at the parks and recreation with Grandma and wants to continue with it. So, this summer, Mommy is going to sign her up for class at the gym where my cousins, Abbie and Emily, go.

DSC_0068A really fun day was yesterday when Mommy checked me out of school to go to a Frisco RoughRiders game! My Great Aunt Doll and Great Aunt Gail are here visiting from Pittsburgh and we all went to the game together. They are here for my Aunt Beth’s graduation from graduate school. We had a terrific time at the ballpark and enjoyed watching the home team win!

A few other exciting things are going on at our house. We got a new fence and some new landscaping done. But, the big project will start next week. We are redoing our whole kitchen! Mommy has been planning this since the beginning of the year. The next couple weeks will be extra chaotic with a pulled apart kitchen, but in the end it will be worth it.

Here is a picture of me and Daddy together at baseball. I love that he is part of my team. He is the team’s pitcher and works with us at practice on batting.

Well, that is all for this month. Please keep the Kless and Smith families in your prayers. My Dad’s cousin Christine Smith passed away silently in her sleep a couple weeks ago. It has been a very sad time for the family.

Love, Sean
