I am 92-months old today!

Hello all!

It is definitely summer time in Texas. Temperatures have been over 100 for a few weeks now. But that has not slowed down our fun!

Both me and Cara have gone to a few more camps. I finished up a basketball camp at UTD with several of my friends and Cara finished Pretty Pretty Princess camp, which of course she loved. I also attended Vacation Bible School at our church and both Cara and I went to another camp through the school district. I went to iPlay, which was a technology-based camp, and Cara went to Enchanted Tea Party, which by the way seemed a lot like Pretty Pretty Princess camp. IMG_5729

Thankfully we had a week off of camp  and we were able to go and do a few things around town that we had been wanting to do. It was the same week that Dad was teaching his class out at the Hilton DFW Lakes. So we took a mini-vacation to "the Lakes." Mom took us to the Bureau of Engraving and Printing in Ft. Worth. This is one of the two places in the country where they print money. We saw them printing the new $100 bills! We also visited the C.R. Smith Aviation Museum with our friends the Hodges and Karlinskis. We were able to watch the All-Star game live from Citi Field from the hotel room with Daddy and swim in the outdoor pool at the Lakes. After a couple days, we headed home.DSC_0028

I have gotten to spend some time with Grandma, although not as much as I would like. She took me to a painting class and I painted a picture of a dog. It turned out pretty good! Cara and I did spend a weekend at Grandmas while Mom was at a PTA conference and Dad was at his work conference. We had a great time together. We did a lot of swimming and went to the movies. Grandma and Aunt Beth just returned from their annual trip to Canada to visit the Bs! Grandpap came for dinner one night and we all enjoyed a good time together.

Cara finished up her ballet class with a live performance. Mom let me take the pictures! I took about 230 photos in 15 minutes! I wanted to be sure I got her every movement. Cara has also been working on her cheerleading. She is on a team for the fall that will cheer for the Longhorns. We aren't all that thrilled about the team name, but we are getting over it. Mom is the coach! They have been practicing at our house the last few weekends and then went to cheer camp! I am sure there will be all sorts of photos this fall on cheerleading! Both me and Cara are still in gymnastics and my baseball team started up again last week. Cara has been having a few playdates with friends and really loves when cousin Emily comes over.

Mom took us to a neat science program at the library a couple weeks ago with friends Jackson and Charlotte. I was called up on stage! My book club is going great. We have read two more books this month - Stuart Little and Mr. Popper's Penguins. It was so funny - Mommy dressed up as a penguin for the Popper's Penguins meeting! It was really funny! We also watched the movie after the book club. It was a nice way to spend time with my friends.

One other really neat thing is that Daddy repainted my bedroom! I had been wanting to make some changes and move furniture around. Of course I wanted my bedroom Mets colors! When we went to the paint store, it turned out that Sherwin Williams painted Citi Field! So the local store called to get the exact colors they painted Citi Field! It looks awesome! We also had a shelf built that goes around the top of my room for all my treasures! We moved furniture around and I really like it. Of course, Cara wants her room painted too! Not Mets colors, but all PINK!

I am looking forward to football season. I am going to have a fantasy football league with my family. I can't wait! We are headed on vacation today to San Antonio. I can't wait to see the Alamo and go to Sea World. We went to the library and got books on the Alamo and sea animals. We are all looking forward to it! We plan on stopping in Austin to visit Uncle Mike and Aunt Melinda.

I can't believe summer is soon coming to an end and I will be starting 2nd grade! Cara will start her last year of Pre School before kindergarten this year. Enjoy the last few weeks of summer and stay cool!

Love, Sean
