I am 2.25 years old today
Hello everyone!
I hope you had a very nice Valentine's Day. I sure did!
The weekend after Valentine's we headed south to Austin to watch my Uncle Mike run his fourth marathon! He did great and we had a lot of fun cheering him on. Also this month, my pre-school held their open house. It was a circus theme! Mommy, Daddy and Grandma all came with me to see my room and special art projects that I made.
My Mommy and Daddy have been very focused on work this month and have been traveling a lot for it. Fortunately one of their trips included me and my favorite travel companion, Grandma! You know I love planes and was super excited to get on one – it had been awhile. While we waited for our plane, we took a train around the entire airport, which was lots of fun – I had a birds-eye view of all the planes! We visited San Diego and our friends Pam and Amanda and their twin boys, Marco and Nicko. We all went to Sea World together, which was awesome. I loved Shamu. We went and saw his show, I could not believe how high he jumped! Mommy would not let us sit in the "splash" section though. Grandma treated me to a stuffed Shamu, which in the attached picture I am displaying proudly. I also really liked the otters, which are Mommy's favorite. The next day Daddy got to join us. We went to Seaport Village and had lunch with our friends again, and our friend Apryl. We took a "duck" tour, which is a tour that is both on the land and then you go into the water. We saw lots of neat things, including a dolphin being trained in the harbor. Then Mommy and Daddy both had to work, which meant me and Grandma were on our own. We went on this neat trolley tour that took us all over San Diego, including Coronado Island, which was beautiful. The trolley driver let me ring the bell! We used the trolley to get to the San Diego Zoo, which was fantastic. We saw all kinds of animals, but the neatest one were the pandas. There also was this gorilla who was using a box to slide down a hill – I thought that was hysterical. We also saw koalas, which were very cute, but rather lazy. We rode the trolley back and joined Mommy and Daddy's dinner meeting. Everyone thought I was so charming because I went around and shook hands with everyone! Our last day in San Diego Grandma and I just walked around down by the harbor. There was a great train station that I loved seeing all of trains and trolleys coming by. Mommy had another friend in San Diego who came to visit us that night, Andrea. They used to work together a long time ago, as in before I was around. Mommy was so happy to see Andrea.
While we were away in San Diego, it snowed in Texas! I was sad to have missed it! BUT, just this past week while I was home, it snowed again. There was a snowman built in my neighbor's yard, which is attached. It is the quintessential Texas snowman in that there is no snow left in the yard and there is quite a bit of grass stuck in the snowman! Those of you up north will get a kick out of it!
Next week I have a very special trip planned with Daddy. We are going to NY to visit Meema and Papa and all my family in Upstate NY. Mommy is a little sad she won't be joining us. I have no idea what she will do without me and Daddy around!
I am still talking up a storm. My parents are amazed that we can have conversations! Right now I like to say, "yes sir" and "that's right mommy/daddy/grandma!" I can sing quite a bit of the "ABC" song by myself and I do pretty good with counting. I love to run and play outside, especially soccer.
Well, that's all from me this month! Take care!
Hope you have a very Happy Easter!!
Love, Sean
