A whole lot of 3s - Sean is 33 months today!

Hello! So, the number 3 is everywhere! Not only am I 33 months old today, I recently went to the doctor (I woke up with a bite on my ear and mommy was worried about it) and we learned that I am 33 pounds and 3 foot 3 inches tall. Plus, I will be 3 on my next birthday (which I know is December 9!). Isn’t it kind of funny when one number appears over and over again?!

I hope you are all doing well. I have been up to some new adventures since I last wrote. I went to see my first dentist! Dr Ross Miller (aka Tooth Boy – www.2thboy.com) gave me a check up and a good report. I was pretty ok with someone looking in my mouth and poking around. I have all my teeth and they look healthy.

We took our big family trip this last month to New York City! Our trip did not start out well as we spent an extra nine hours waiting at DFW Airport for our airplane. While this may seem like an inconvenience, I happen to love airports and airplanes, so frankly, I was fine with it. Now, Mommy and Daddy didn’t seem to think it was as fun as I did! Another thing I love, as you know, is NYC. Mostly, the subway comes to mind, but I also got to see my beloved NY Mets play at Shea Stadium! It was a great night (even though the Mets lost) as many family members came to the game – cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents and friends! It was such a good time. We did a lot while in NY. We also took in a game at Yankee Stadium, which was important as both Shea Stadium and Yankee Stadium will be torn down this year. I now have been to eight major league ball parks and I can identify all of those team’s logos.

We spent a week in Manhattan as Daddy was working. Mommy and I did a lot of walking and sightseeing. Highlights include Central Park (and the Zoo), FAO Schwartz (where I played on the big piano from the movie “Big”), The Met, Museum of Natural History, lots of pizza, Sports Museum of America, South Street Seaport and double decker tour bus rides of Manhattan, Brooklyn and Harlem. Another highlight was my first Broadway musical – The Lion King. It was very loud, but I liked it and we made it through the whole performance. We went to the big Toys R Us in Times Square and rode the ferris wheel that is INSIDE the store! I have never seen anything like it. Our hotel room overlooked Madison Square Garden, which I loved to look out over and see all the people and bright lights.

The last thing we did before leaving NYC is go to breakfast with Mr. Met, the Mets mascot, at Shea Stadium. I loved it. I got to meet Mr. Met. He signed my book and took lots of pictures with me. At first, I was laughing so hard because Mr. Met’s head is a baseball. I just thought this was about the funniest thing I have ever seen. We had a great time in NY and I want to go back soon.

I started pre-school last week. I go two days a week now. I have a new teacher, who I like – Miss Stephanie. I have a friend in my class who I have known since we were six-months old. I am one of the oldest kids in my class, and as I mentioned earlier, I am definitely the tallest. Lots of other fun activities are starting up again. Library program with Grandma as well as some art classes. Mommy is slowing down (only six more weeks until my sister comes!). Daddy is traveling a lot over the next four weeks so he can be home when the baby comes.

Mommy wanted me to let you know that I am growing up way too fast. I talk in complete sentences and can have a real conversation with someone. My favorite foods are peanut butter, pancakes and any type of cookies. I still love swimming and playing with my toys – particularly anything that goes. I love music and sing in church and at home often. I play the recorder and I am always running somewhere.

I hope you have a great month and I will talk to you next month!

Love, Sean
